The packaging on this multipurpose hand spreader boasts it’s “the quick and convenient way to spread,” which it may very well be; it features three settings, a hopper that holds approximately 6 pounds of fertilizer or ice melt or 3 pounds of seed, and a spread of 6 to 12 feet. However, the heavy plastic hand crank is difficult to turn, so although it may be quick and convenient, it’s not top of the line. Nonetheless, for the price (and for those who already have a rolling spreader for large spaces), this device certainly gets the job done.
